What is the VAT rate applied on an order?

Based on the VAT exemptions, you can find some examples below with regards to the VAT charges on orders.

Example 1 - Customer with valid VAT number from inside the European Union (e.g. Germany)

A customer from Germany who wants to buy ETS5 Professional whose net price is €1.000 and has a valid VAT number, will not pay VAT. So the final price to be paid is €1.000 + € shipping fees based on the shipping location.

Example 2 - Customer with no (valid) VAT number inside the European Union (e.g. Germany)

A customer from Germany who wants to buy ETS5 Professional whose net price is €1.000 and does not have a (valid) VAT number, then the German VAT rate 19% will be charged. So the final price to be paid is €1.000 + €190 (German VAT) + € shipping fees based on the shipping location.

Example 3 - Customer from Belgium

A customer from Belgium who wants to buy ETS5 Professional whose net price is €1.000 will be charged the Belgian VAT rate 21%. So the final price to be paid is €1.000 + €210 (Belgian VAT) + € shipping fees based on the shipping location.

Example 4 - Customer from Dubai

A customer from Dubai who wants to buy ETS5 Professional whose net price is €1.000 will not be charged any VAT. So the final price to be paid is €1.000 + € shipping fees based on the shipping location.
